About my Art
I have been doing art since I was a child. I used to frustrate my school teachers because although I was doodling in class I was still listening. They would catch me doodling and try to ask a “gotcha” question which I knew the answer to since I was actually paying attention.
Van Gogh was my favorite artist in high school. I took a detour from art for several years until I read a biography of Van Gogh when I was about 29. He was 29 when he began his art career and then it ended at the age of 39. I thought to myself that it wasn’t too late to get back into doing art, but I would learn from Van Gogh’s mistakes, avoid eating paint and chopping off extremities, and also make taking care of my family a priority. So, besides the several years working at Disney World as a caricature artist, I have mostly restricted art to a part-time job. I’d love to be able to just go out and do landscape painting everyday, but I love my family more and don’t want them to suffer.
My favorite type of art to do is “plein air” painting which is painting the landscape on location. I also do some airbrush painting, graphic design, t-shirt design, and also painting custom shoes.
Below are some of my original paintings. Contact me for availability if you are interested in purchasing.
